Description

Each level contains:

• Instructions
• 4 Google Slides presentations, each with a different ‘poison rhythm’ to allow you to play the game many times without students remembering which rhythm to avoid! (the rest of the rhythm patterns are the same, just in a different order).
• Printable game cards (in both color and black & white) with an optional card back.
• Everything is provided in both regular and stick notation

Rhythm levels:

1. quarter note, beamed eighth notes (ta, ti-ti)
2. quarter rest, quarter note, beamed eighth notes
3. half note, quarter rest, quarter note, beamed eighth notes
4. 4 sixteenth notes (tika-tika), half note, quarter rest, quarter note, beamed eighth notes
5. eighth-2 sixteenth (ti-tika), 2 sixteenth-eighth (tika-ti), 4 sixteenths (tika-tika), quarter rest, quarter note, beamed eighth notes
6. dotted quarter-eighth note, 4 sixteenth notes, quarter rest, quarter note, beamed eighth notes.
7. triplet, quarter rest, quarter note, half note, beamed eighth notes
8. syncopa (eighth-quarter-eighth pattern), sixteenth note patterns (tika-tika, tika-ti, ti-tika), quarter rest, quarter note, half note, and beamed eighth notes.
9. dotted eighth-sixteenth (tim-ka), sixteenth note patterns (tika-tika, tika-ti, ti-tika), half note, quarter note, quarter rest, eighth notes.

Please note, this resource is not editable, although the slides can easily be ‘shuffled’ / rearranged should you wish, and individual slides can be deleted if you don’t want a specific rhythm.
