Description
No extra materials are needed, and limited prep (printing, and very limited cutting) is required. One of the escape rooms (at the opera) also requires you to hide a single clue behind your garbage can.

These escape rooms are appropriate for classroom general music, band, choir, as well as private/group instrument lessons. Upper elementary, middle school, and high school ages can all enjoy these music activities, so long as they are familiar with the musical concepts in the puzzles (there are 4 rhythm levels included in this bundle, each with a different story theme).
Suggested time for each escape room is 30 minutes for classes confident in the required skills.
(45 minutes for students who are less confident in their skills, are younger, or are working individually).
Music Escape Rooms Included: (each level also includes the rhythms from the previous level)
- Pirate’s Treasure (quarter note, eighth notes, half note, quarter rest)
- Alien Ship (half rest, whole rest, dotted half note, whole note)
- Wizard’s Spell (sixteenth note groupings)
- At the Opera (dotted quarter note, single eighth note, triplet)
Each Escape Room includes:
- teacher directions
- story (both color and black & white versions included)
- student answer/recording sheet
- 1-2 decoders
- 4 puzzles using musical skills.
- ‘We Escaped’ coloring page for students
North American (quarter note) and British rhythm terminology (crotchet) versions are both included. Both versions are exactly the same except for the rhythm terms.
