For more information on note reading and ideas to get you and your kids started check out this more detailed article for absolute beginners here.
This is a very quick game! It is a treble clef note reading game that practices just the beginning notes of middle C in the treble clef through treble clef G.
Free printable includes:
- Game board

You will also need:
- Game pieces – small erasers, lego people, or pieces from another board game all work great!
- Scissors to cut out the game cards
Instructions:
- Take turns drawing a card.
- Move your game piece to the space with the note name on your card (note name cheat sheet is included!)
- The first person to land on the last square is the winner
Variation if you are short on time:
- If you cannot move because there are no more spaces left with your note, you win!
Printing suggestions:
- Printing on cardstock is ideal for the game to be durable.
- A card back design is included. Pages 3 and 5 are optional designs to print on the back of the game cards on pages 2 and 4 If you are trying to save ink, check that you aren’t printing these colored backs.
- I sometimes like to use colored cardstock to make them more exciting for the kids if I want to save color ink.
