No extra materials are needed, and limited prep (mostly just printing) is required.
2 different levels are included for each escape room to allow you to use this with multiple grade levels! Puzzles can be mix and matched between levels should you wish.
These escape rooms are appropriate for classroom general music, band, choir, as well as private/group instrument lessons. Upper elementary, middle school, and junior high ages can all enjoy these music activities, so long as they are familiar with the musical concepts in the puzzles (2 levels of concepts to choose from in each activity)
Suggested time for each escape room is 30 minutes.
(45 minutes for students below grade 4, or who are insecure in the required skills).

- teacher directions
- clue sheet (cheat sheet containing all the information required to complete the puzzles – helpful if leaving with a substitute)
- story (both color and black & white versions included)
- student answer/recording sheet
- 1-2 decoders
- 4 puzzles using musical skills.
- ‘I/We escaped’ cards and coloring page for students
North American (quarter note) and British rhythm terminology (crotchet) versions are both included. Both versions are exactly the same except for the rhythm terms.
